Things were going pretty smooth for Seher and Asmita..of course they had arguments and fites, didnt talk for a few days...but nothing out of the ordinary or something that Asmita could not have compromised with. Now for d frst speed breaker in their relationship that was the topic of their frends more than many times...
Through her college, Asmita joined a youth organisation, without actually bothering to find out what kind of reputation the organisation had in the society...she was afterall in her first year of college and eager to take up all available opportunities to develop her interpersonal skills, which were a pre-requisite to her chosen career. The organisation was open to members from both the male and female gender and all of them were young so she instantly liked the atmosphere and all the fun they were having together, before the actual workload began.
All the time she now spent in the company of these youngsters...guys in particular, was having a weird effect on her relationship with Seher. She was now exposed to this fiercely possessive side of him, where he could not tolerate her being in the company of not jus one new guy, but a whole group of guys, in the name of an "organisation"! He fought with her one evening becoz when she answered his call, he cud hear a few male voices in the background(!!!) Such was the stupidity of their arguments. But she somehow kept things going by not talkin much abt wat she did today at the meeting etc, even though she missed being able to tell him about her day's activities. She knew that she d be treading on thin ice if she so much as even mentioned the organisation's name.
She found it extremely irritating and agonising, the amount of restrictions he was placing on her from constantly hinting to her that he wanted her to quit the organisation. But she decided that she liked the place and that she wouldn't give in to his possessiveness and (dumb) idea that girls and guys cannot have something called FREINDSHIP between them. She used to wonder at how anyone could be so old skool in their thoughts and still be in this century...then it dawned on her that his reactions...sorry over reactions were probably the outcome of his Islamic bringing up, where girls from"good families" didnt mingle(read: flirt) with guys and call it friendship!!!
She didnt know who to blame...he was so steadfast in his beliefs about how a woman he was planning to make "HIS" should behave, completely ignoring the fact that the woman was an individual with her own likes and dislikes and of course, her own brains!! She was from a more liberal background where her parents encouraged her outgoing nature and were even PROUD of it!!! She wasnt able to comprehend why her mere being in the midst of men other than him, her father and her brothers, was leading to so much havoc in her relationship.
Then one day the time came for her to go out of Chennai as part of the organisation for a seminar on wat the organisation was all about etc etc...it was compulsory for all new members (including her, of course!!) to attend the seminar. Before such time came, they had had a proper talk and she had kind of convinced him to see the insanity of their fites. So wen she told him abt the trip, he made a concious effort to let her decide her life and didnt make a fuss abt it! He even came and met her on the eve of her trip after she had finished all her last minute shopping and offered to pick her up in the morning and drop her in the station!! She was really surprised and the gesture confirmed the fact that both of them loved each other beyond their huge differences!!
That evening before her trip, he actually walked with her on the streets of Besant Nagar(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) carrying her shopping load and telling her to be careful and that he d call her without fail everyday and that he would miss her terribly and that she should not do anythn stupid in the company of people who she had jus met...etc...etc...and that he loved her more than anythn in his life!! The next day morning he came on time(a rare occurrence!!!!) and waited till the train arrived, all in PUBLIC GLARE, where he could have been easily spotted!!!! HE even spoke to one of her friends askin her to take care of Asmita and that she was to call him if at all anythn went wrong!!!( He never spoke to any of her friends except for Ms.Goody)
Throughout the trip he spent unusual hours on the fone with her, always worrying about wat exactly she was doing there and if any guy had made any advances on her and the like...and she patiently assured him that there were far more prettier gurls for the guys to go prey upon and that they left her alone!!! She stuck to her end of the deal too...she didnt flirt with any guy and didnt do anythng stupid in front of them and always dressed decently.
Then she came back...and life was normal for a few days...then once again problems began(!!!!) when she had jus thought that everythng was settled forever. His vehement opposition to her beiong part of that place was based on what his friends had told him. He learned from them that in future "meetings and seminars and conferences" there would be booze, drugs and even sex!!! This completely freaked him out and he wanted her out IMMEDIATELY before things went anymore out of control!! She who didnt know that whatever he had heard was actually, in a way, rite, rebelled and that lead to fites all over again and finally without any other option she quit the organisation, though she at that point in time didnt apprecaite his utter domination of her life...though in this particular case, it was actually for he own good.
More to come!!!
Till the Blah..Blah..Blah...:)

Nice writing style.. makes a very interesting read.. :-)
But seriously, this is getting pretty monotonous, I guess this is not an official "relationship" blog, start posting about other things too.. :)
Amazing writeup..i'd like to add a few notes here..well ther's a subtle diff between being protective and being possessive..for the hero (or whoever it is) considering the family in which he was brought up the extent to which he went is "being protective"..n for the heroine...considering her so liberal family background...that looked "being possessive"..but this is life n ppl ve to accept that...mayb budding lovers (:)) will try to learn something from this beautiful narration..well..when we ve ppl who experience something in their first relationship n do the same mistake in their second one...we cant advice anything to anyone...mayb we can give it a name - "Fate". Once again, nice writing style, keeps u in a state of "what will happen next" thinking. :)
P.S. Pls take care of the spellings, it hinders the thought flow of the reader.
